As harvests wane in late summer, don't be so fast to put away your gardening tools! Now is the perfect time to learn about proper preparation for a fantastic fall garden to reap its delectable rewards. Join the Merced County Master Gardeners and guest speaker Sacramento Master Gardener Maria Schiffler to learn everything you need to know for your fall vegetable garden and how to save your favorite seeds.

THE WORKSHOP WILL ADDRESS:   

  • Preparing your garden, raised beds, or containers using soil amendments or compost as fertilizer.     
  • Saving seeds from your favorite plants.     
  • Get information on fall-inspired recipes and herb crafts.

COST: Upcoming workshops are free to attend unless otherwise stated. Suggested $5 donation.

EDUCATION CREDIT: Participates can apply for continuing education credit (CEU) through UC Merced Professional and Continuing Education for an additional $40 for one CEU if they attend six workshops. You can apply for the CEU on November 29, 2019, at http://ucm.edu/v/master-gardener-workshops.
